You will need
  • - instruction on accounting of the library Fund 1998;
  • - the Commission;
  • the act of disposal;
  • - check all accounting documents.
When you write off books refer to the operating instructions on accounting of the library Fund, which was approved in 1998.
Form a special Commission. Its membership will include the Director of the library (Committee chair), his Deputy, and also heads of departments of book storage, acquisition, reading room, subscription and the chief librarians of these departments.
If it is a specialized library (school, University, company, etc.), be sure to involve the Commission experts from the sphere of activities of the organization.
Prepare literature for amortization. Most libraries select books for this purpose constantly. These include non-core literature, lost, books and documents that are not in demand among readers.
Familiarize Commission members with a list of publications, prepared for decommissioning. Experts after careful analysis of each instance must take the appropriate decision. Some publications, for example, may be of historical interest or Express an unusual opinion on any scientific issue.
