- 200 g of sugar;
- 2 tsp of vanilla sugar;
- 3 eggs;
- 10 g baking powder or 1 teaspoon of hydrated soda;
- 600 g of flour.
Thoroughly washed apricots split in half, remove seeds and cut into slices. Butter spread with vanilla and sugar, add eggs and mix well. The stirring can be stopped, when I no longer feel the grains of sugar.
Add the flour and baking powder (replace baking soda), knead the dough. It should be quite thick and not stick to hands. From the consistency of the dough depends on the quality of the pie – if the dough is liquid, it will not be baked. The outside can start to burn, but the inside will still be raw.
Prepare the form, lubricated with vegetable or butter. On the bottom of the form put two-thirds of the dough and flatten the edges need perking up a bit at the sides of the form, forming a kind of shallow (2-3 cm) of the bowl.
Lay the apricots on the dough, it is desirable to lay them smooth symmetrical rows – so beautiful. But you can just pour the slices and evenly distribute them on the test, which allows to save time.
Roll out remaining dough to a thickness of about 5-7 mm and cut into strips width 1,5–2 see Put them on apricots two intersecting rows, you get a grid of test, through which are visible the fruit slices.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and put it in her pie for about 35-40 minutes. Be careful as it Browns. If necessary, slightly turn down the temperature.
The willingness of the pie is determined in the traditional way – pierce it with a toothpick. If there are no signs of the test, the dish is ready. Typically, such testing is only required at the first cooking. Making the cake two or three times, you are able to pick the right time and the most appropriate baking temperature.
After removing pie from oven, brush the top surface with butter, it gives it a beautiful Shine. The finished dish should be served slightly cooled, but not cold.
