Instruction

1

The first is to understand how much contains millimeters (mm) 1 metre (m). One centimeter (cm) contains 10 mm. In turn, contains 1 m. 100 cm. Mathematically this can be written as:

1 m = 100 cm.

1 cm = 10 mm.

1 m = 100 cm.

1 cm = 10 mm.

2

On the basis of the first step, you can calculate how many millimeters are contained in one meter:

100 cm*10 (as 10 cm (fits in 1 m = 1000 mm.

We conclude that 1 meter 1000 millimeters. Translation of millimeters to meters can be considered in this example: the Average step length men 1.1 meters. How many millimeters is equal to this length?

100 cm*10 (as 10 cm (fits in 1 m = 1000 mm.

We conclude that 1 meter 1000 millimeters. Translation of millimeters to meters can be considered in this example: the Average step length men 1.1 meters. How many millimeters is equal to this length?

3

Solution: we Know that 1 meter is 1000 millimeters and 10 centimeters 100 millimeters. Then, 1000 mm + 100 mm = 1100 mm. a: average stride length men 1100 mm.

Note

For measuring length in the Metric system, in addition to meters and centimeters, you can use micrometers, decimeters, kilometers, megametre etc.
